EXHIBITION EXTENDED UNTIL DECEMBER 13th
The exhibition Art of Life: A Meeting Between Two Countries has been extended until December 13, offering another opportunity to explore the cultures of Burkina Faso and Ukraine, as well as the works of the two artists, Mariia Matokhniuk and Anouck Michel.
In addition to the objects displayed since November 1, visitors will have the chance to discover a mural created using the traditional Ukrainian technique of Petrykivka*. This artwork is the result of a collaborative workshop held every Wednesday in November at the Museum with the artist Mariia Matokhniuk. Childrens and adults, enthusiastic volunteers and those curious about new artistic experiences came together to create and decorate this mural, blending ancestral craftsmanship with a sense of community.
The Petrykivka technique, renowned for its floral and colorful motifs, allowed each participant to express their creativity while adhering to the harmony and aesthetics characteristic of this Ukrainian art form. More than just a piece of art, this mural serves as a testament to a dialogue between cultures and generations, uniting two countries through shared gestures and vibrant colors.
Don't miss this extension to admire this unique creation!
*The Petrykivka technique, originating in the namesake village in Ukraine, is a folk decorative art renowned for its vibrant beauty and symbolic richness. This technique has been inscribed on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity since 2013.
