Le Maréchalat : Davout de Annoux, Marmont de Châtillon, deux maréchaux bourguignons.
On 6 December, at 8.30 pm, the Friends of the Musée du Pays Châtillonnais-Trésor de Vix will welcome Christian CARLI. The local scholar and great enthusiast of the First Empire, responsible for the Ville Impériale (Imperial City) label, will talk to us about the marshalship and the rise to this rank under Napoleon I, more specifically through two Burgundian examples, Davout and Marmont.
This year marks the 250th anniversary of Marshal Marmont's birth, a native of Châtillonnais. We are keen to see another local figure round off our series of lectures. Join us in the museum's lecture room to learn more about this era and its political uses.
Open to all, no reservation required.
Free for AMPC members / €5 for non-members.
Please note that the lecture will be in French.
