Visites Guidées des Vacances de Noël
During the Christmas holidays (between December 21 and 29), the museum organizes a daily tour of the Vix Treasure (Trésor de Vix) at 3 p.m.
This one-hour tour will take you back 2,500 years during Celtic times. Learn more about the objects of the Vix Treasure, discovered in 1953 by Maurice Moisson and René Joffroy in a female tomb. During the tour, follow your guide through the ages, from the beginning of the Iron Age to 2019, with the new excavation of the Celtic tumulus.
Please note: this tour will not be provided on December 30th. The museum will be closed on 24 and 25 December, and the winter closure will begin on December 31st (inclusive). This tour is intended for French-speaking visitors. Please ask the museum staff if an English tour is available.
