Discover the Mont Lassois with the Museum.
On Saturday, April 26th, and Saturday, May 24th, the Museum, in collaboration with the Rando-Club Châtillonnais (hiking club), will organize two Archéorandos on Mont Lassois, the site where the Hallstatt princely city was discovered. Join our museum guides to explore the archaeological settlement of Vix and learn about the excavations conducted by both French and international archaeologists. After the hike, enjoy lunch in the museum's courtyard. In the afternoon, our guides will take you through the museum's galleries to showcase our collections, including the Celtic "Vix Treasure."
For more information or to book your spot on the hike, please contact the museum by phone or email.
Price : 20 euros / per (on-site payment, on the day of the event, by bank cheque or cash)
From age 16; No animal allowed.
Please note that the visit will mainly be conducted in French.
The hike for participants will begin at 9 a.m. at Place Maurice Moisson in Vix. We recommend wearing hiking shoes and bringing water for the hike. Additionally, please download our free app, "Princesse de Vix", available on the App Store or Play Store, before the Archeorando event. The download may take some time, and the internet connectivity on Mont Lassois can be unreliable.
